Background
Millions of Filipino professionals working in the country and abroad play a vital role in nation building achieving the targets of the Philippine Development Plan in line with the Labor and Employment Agenda of the Government.In fulfilling the Philippine commitment to international agreements, the free mobility of professional services shall be implemented starting 2015. Thus, the Filipino professionals' Global Competitiveness will be assessed.
Issues for Discussion
- To bring together all registered/licensed professionals (RLPs) to converge on a common platform for nation building and global competitiveness.
- To enhance awareness and understanding of the state of professional regulation with the policies and current standards of professional practice in the country and to benchmark and harmonize such with international standards.
- To strategize policies and action programs to address the issues on regulation and employment i.e. competency/qualifications, local and overseas practice of the professions, social and professional security, internal and international migration.
Goals and Objectives
- To bring together all professionals of the state regulated professions to converge on a common platform for nation building and global competitiveness.

- To enhance awareness and understanding of the professionals on the current state of professional regulation, policies, and standards of professional practice in the country and to benchmark internationally.

- To establish strategies, action programs, and policies to issues of professionals on regulation and employment i.e.: competency or qualifications, local and overseas practice of the professions, social andprofessional security, internal and international migration.
